AOG parts transport. Support for a grounded aircraft.
When an aircraft is grounded, getting the required part to the maintenance team becomes part of the recovery plan. PRIOWAY moves urgent aviation shipments from the sender to the agreed service location.
AOG stands for Aircraft on Ground. During a technical disruption, even a small component may be needed before maintenance can continue. Transport planning starts with an accurate description of that component, the time it will be ready for collection and the deadline the receiving team is working towards.
We arrange urgent road transport of aircraft parts across Europe. Collections can be planned from a supplier, warehouse or another agreed location, with delivery to an MRO facility, technical support site or airport handover point. We check the actual route and vehicle availability before confirming the job.
01
An exact airport handover point
The airport name alone does not identify where a part needs to go. We need the receiving company, building or gate, access arrangements and a contact who can accept the shipment. Warehouse opening hours and the agreed receiving time also matter. These details help match the vehicle’s arrival to a handover that can actually take place.
02
A vehicle suited to the packed component
Our Renault Kangoo, Renault Trafic and Volkswagen Caddy vehicles have a gross vehicle weight below 2.5 tonnes. We select the vehicle against the shipment’s dimensions, weight and securing requirements. Include the part reference, package count, stacking restrictions and accompanying documents in your enquiry. A photograph of the packed item helps us assess how it can be loaded.
03
Assessing road transport and our own OBC service
We assess the road option against the part’s release time and the maintenance team’s required delivery time. Where distance or available flights make an onboard courier worth considering, we can also check our own OBC service. That option requires a separate shipment and route assessment. The transport proposal and feasible delivery time are confirmed for the individual request.
02 / FROM ENQUIRY TO HANDOVER
A delivery starts with the right details.
01Send the AOG request
Provide the collection and delivery points, part reference, packed weight and dimensions, and the time the shipment will be ready for release.
02Check the transport option
We assess vehicle availability, the route and handover requirements, then agree the transport option, price and feasible delivery time.
03Collect the part
We confirm the loading location and contact person. The prepared shipment enters transport with the agreed packaging and accompanying documents.
04Complete the handover
The shipment is delivered to the nominated receiving point. The required delivery confirmation is agreed with the customer before transport begins.
03 / BEFORE COLLECTION
Questions worth settling early.
What do you need to quote an AOG shipment?
Send full addresses, the part’s ready time, required delivery time, packed weight and dimensions. Include the part reference and sender and receiver contacts. Tell us about any booking or arrival notification requirements.
Can you deliver to an MRO facility?
Yes. We can plan delivery to the nominated maintenance or technical support location. We need the exact handover point and access instructions. Entry into a restricted area must be agreed separately with the receiving organisation.
Does an AOG shipment always need to travel by air?
The choice depends on the route, deadline and shipment details. We assess road transport for European routes and can check our own OBC service for suitable consignments, subject to confirmation of an available connection.
Does an AOG reference guarantee a delivery time?
The reference identifies the urgency of the situation. A feasible delivery time is agreed after checking transport availability, the route, the part’s release time and the receiving arrangements for that particular job.
YOUR SHIPMENT / THE NEXT STEP
